Dear Little Bunny,
Back to my adventure when I was trapped under the flower pot.
Much later, I woke up. I could see blue sky through the hole in the pot above me.
I sipped a little water that had dripped down through the hole.
I was hungry. I was lonely. I was afraid that I’d never get out.
I thought about Great Grand Bunny, the first Easter Bunny, and how he was trapped in the tomb with Jesus. Great Grand Bunny was so afraid. He thought he was going to die. Then the amazing miracle happened. The cave began to glow and Jesus, who had been dead, was alive again and the cave was open .
Jesus said, “Don’t be afraid…I AM with you.”
Great Grand Bunny told his family who told their family after them, who told their family after them… on down through many generations, and my father told me that, “When Jesus said,’ I AM with you.’ he meant it forever and for all of us.”
So, under that pot… alone, wet, cold and hungry…I decided to believe, really believe, that Jesus was with me.
If he was with me, I’d talk to him.
Quietly, in my soft rabbit way, I began to pray.
I told Him how afraid I was.
I begged for His help. If he could open a tomb, he had to have the power to lift a clay pot.
Tomorrow I’ll tell you the amazing way He answered my prayer!
How about you? Did you pray today? Do you talk with Jesus? You don’t have to be stuck under a clay pot to talk to Him.
He’s God. He can hear you from anywhere! Try It!
Talking to and trusting in Jesus is a BIG part of being an Easter Bunny.
